The first bus constructed by Kiwi Bus Builders build for Kevin Smith Reporoa Valley Transport. This bus was delivered for the first school term of 1994. Chassis Hino FD 165HP, tare weight 5600kgs, 41 seat plus 15 standees.
Kiwi Bus Builders went on to build 6 more Hino FD’s for Reporoa Valley transport. The next five being 46 seaters. Also built for Reporoa were two Iveco ML150, 53 Seat School Bus and two Mercedes MB OF8000, 34 Seat School Buses.
Reporoa Valley Transport didn't regain their school runs in the 2008 tender round. This first bus along with the other five Hinos, were brought by Alan Fretwell of Greenline Motors, the Mercedes by Perry Clark and the Ivecos by Howarden Garage.
These were the first Kiwi Bus Built buses to be sold into the market outside of a company takeover.
Kiwi Bus Builders brought the bus back off Greenline in 2018 when Greenline took delivery of their new MAN TGL 12.220.
